G3, C3, W2 and W3 are different Philips Sonicare brush-head designs. Before comparing them, check that your handle takes the compatible Sonicare click-on fitting. Then consider the design, your preferred colour and the total cost of the quantity you need.
This guide compares manufacturer descriptions with the packs available at BrushHead Australia. We have not conducted a clinical or hands-on comparison, so the guide does not rank the heads by measured cleaning performance.

Philips explains the designs on its official G3, C3, W2 and W3 pages. Those references may show a different colour, regional suffix or pack count from our imported stock. Match the actual model and product listing, rather than using the reference page's pack photograph as your order quantity.
W2 vs W3: what is the practical difference?
Both sit in Philips' whitening-focused range. W3 uses a flexible-sided design; Philips describes W2's densely arranged bristles and curved tip. At our checked four-head prices, W3 costs A$9 more per set, equivalent to A$2.25 more per head.
W2 is therefore the lower-cost option in this particular comparison. W3 is an alternative if you prefer its design or are replacing the W3 you already use. The price difference is not evidence that every user will get a better result from W3, and whitening descriptions should not be read as a guaranteed change in tooth shade.
G3 vs C3: what should you compare?
Philips positions G3 around gum care and C3 around plaque cleaning. Both referenced designs use flexible sides. At BrushHead, the same quantities currently have the same prices, so choosing between them does not require a price premium.
Start with the full model name of your existing head and the feel you prefer. If you want to change models, review the manufacturer's description and choose an available smaller pack before buying a larger supply. A model name is not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation.
Click-on compatibility and BrushSync are different checks
Philips says its standard click-on heads fit most rechargeable Sonicare toothbrushes. Older Essence screw-on models use a different fitting, and Philips One uses its own heads even though they also attach with a click-on motion. The C3 reference also excludes PowerUp Battery. Check the exact handle in Philips' compatibility guidance and the individual product specifications.
Physical fit does not guarantee every smart feature. BrushSync recognition, reminders and automatic mode pairing depend on the particular head and a supporting handle. Check the relevant symbols and your handle manual; do not assume the words “Sonicare” or “click-on” promise all BrushSync functions.
Four heads or a larger set?
All four models are supplied in unopened four-head retail packs. Eight-, twelve- and sixteen-head sets contain two, three and four complete packs respectively, all in the selected model and colour. Handles and chargers are not included.
G3, C3 and W2 currently cost A$33.99 / A$58.99 / A$85.99 / A$110.99 for 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 heads. W3 costs A$42.99 / A$79.99 / A$110.99 / A$143.99 for the same quantities.
